Imagine a world where every individual, regardless of intellectual disability or autism, is empowered to shine. That's the world KALIMORI is building. We're not just a community; we believe everyone deserves the chance to live a full, vibrant life, contributing their unique gifts to the world. KALIMORI is rewriting the narrative around intellectual disability, celebrating the strength and resilience of individuals who overcome challenges every day. Witnessing their growth reminds us that our community is enriched by their presence. With one in seven people globally affected by disability, our mission is urgent. We're breaking down barriers, fostering understanding, and building a world where differences are not just accepted but celebrated. Join KALIMORI, and together, let's create a truly inclusive world, where everyone belongs and thrives.

Our Impact

KALIMORI aims to change perceptions of disability, recognizing individuals as strong, resilient people who defy adversity to improve their quality of life. We are the only institution in Mexico to evaluate and certify adults with disabilities in the national program CONOCER* having adapted the program and offering official certificates to our beneficiaries, las year we graduated our first generation with 8 graduates and working on graduating the next generation with 12 participants. We have a positive impact on skills related to structure, presentation, order fulfillment, work ethic, and a genuine enthusiasm for work. ** CONOCER is the Mexican government body responsible for the standardization and certification of job competencies. It coordinates the National Competency System so that workers, students, teachers, entrepreneurs, and public servants can obtain an official labor certificate, regardless of how they acquired their knowledge.

Who We Help

Adults over 18 with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum. 20% of our beneficiaries are local members of the community who come for a daily training program who go on to work on the hospitality sector of the beautiful town of Malinalco. 80% are residents from all over Mexico who are shaping the way we see disability in Mexico by showing their relatives how they can reach their full potential by becoming independent people.
