To empower children, youth, and adults with the tools they need to identify social problems, envision solutions, and implement impactful projects in their communities, thereby strengthening their leadership, civic engagement, and sense of social responsibility.
Somos el Cambio is a Mexican foundation with over 15 years of experience driving social change from the ground up. Through a practical four-step methodology—Feel, Imagine, Do, and Share—we support children, youth, and adults in developing projects that address real problems in their communities, primarily using their own resources and capabilities. Each year, we launch national calls for proposals, forming teams of six people and providing them with support, pedagogical tools, and a tracking platform to turn ideas into concrete actions. Our approach promotes experiential learning, active participation, and social leadership, generating sustainable and replicable impact in communities throughout Mexico.
We have spurred more than 63,600 social impact projects across Mexico, directly involving over 443,000 participants and indirectly impacting more than 14.8 million people. Our beneficiaries develop key skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication, empathy, and community action, strengthening the social fabric and their ability to positively influence their environment.
Our beneficiaries are children, youth, and adults from diverse communities across Mexico who participate in independent teams or through educational institutions and partner organizations. They come from a variety of social, economic, and geographic backgrounds, united by a shared interest in improving their communities. By participating in Somos el Cambio, they become active agents of social transformation, gaining confidence, civic engagement, and the capacity to lead impactful initiatives.
